The industrial-grade
wireless LAN access
points feature a wireless
interface in compliance
with IEEE802.11n (draft
2.0). The new wireless
standard permits similar
transfer rates as
achieved by a Fast Ethernet
cable. MiMo (multiple
input, multiple
output) send and receive
technology provides
significantly higher reach, reliability and
stability of wireless transmissions both in the
2.4GHz and in the 5GHz frequency range. Moreover,
MiMo is particularly suitable for applications
where typical industrial interferences
must be expected, such as reflexions. WLAN devices
equipped with wireless interfaces according
to older IEEE802.11a/b/g/h standards
also benefit from the greater reach of the new
access points. The IWLAN access points are offered
in two models: BAT300-Rail, designed
for installation on standard rails in control cabinets,
and BAT300-F with housings rated to
protection classes IP65 and IP67 for direct
field installation.
