Since the first of February 2013, VEGA Grieshaber KG has been serving customers in Turkey with its own local subsidiary. The sales and service company is located in Istanbul.
In times past, Turkish customers purchased their VEGA sensors through a sales partner. Now, VEGA itself is directly at their doorstep. The new Turkish subsidiary called VEGA Seviye ve Basınç Ölçüm Cihazları Ticaret Ltd. Şti. began its operational activity on 1 February 2013.
Ali Kaya is Managing Director of the subsidiary. Since 2006 he has been responsible for the region as Regional Sales Manager. With his current 5-person sales and service team, he serves customers in Turkey, Central Asia and the Caucasus.
"For VEGA, the country on the Bosporus connecting Europe with markets in the Middle East and the Caucasus or Central Asia is very important for growth in the coming years," explains Günter Kech, Managing Director of VEGA Grieshaber KG. "Our subsidiary in Turkey helps us follow our customers geographically. Through our strong local presence we can meet customers' needs quickly and competently."
The German headquarters in Schiltach also benefits from the internationalization brought about through new subsidiaries abroad. At those headquarters in Schiltach, the number of employees has grown steadily in recent years. Of the 1,100 employees worldwide, 600 are employed in Schiltach.
