For the first time, the International Exhibition with Congress for Valves and Valve Equipment was held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 30 November to 02 December 2010. Over three trade fair days, 536 international companies from 37 countries presented the latest technologies, components and systems from the broad field of industrial valve technology. The global improvement of the economic situation, rising order levels and a successful fourth business quarter to date gave rise to exuberance amongst exhibitors and visitors at the debut edition of Valve World Expo in Düsseldorf. They only saw advantages in the move from Maastricht to Düsseldorf: The accolades were directed at increased exhibitor numbers, more display area and room for the comprehensive product and service range, international travel connections, quality of the hall infrastructure and the great atmosphere. Said Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, “This debut was an amazing success. Valve Word Expo fits exceptionally well into the portfolio of our capital equipment fairs at the Düsseldorf location. We are also in the process of developing the topic of industrial fittings at an international level,” Schäfer added. On a display area of approximately 13,600 m², exhibitors presented the latest technologies from the areas of fittings and accessories, as well as pipe products, seals, sealing materials, components and engineering services related to industrial fittings. Among the exhibitors were also professional associations and publishing companies. “The exhibitors have unanimously assessed the move from Maastricht to Düsseldorf as positive,” Marcus Rohrbacher, General Manager KCI GmbH, summarised after three trade fair days. “Many exhibitors, especially first-timers, praised the quality of the trade fair and the congress at the location in Düsseldorf,” Rohrbacher continued. “We made many international contacts. Many new trade fair visitors visited our stand,” Felix Metzenthin, Sales Director of Sipos Aktorik Company, Germany, reported happily. “The trade fair offers major potential,” the trade fair expert added. Peter Eckhoff, Marketing Manager at EBRO Armaturen, was similarly satisfied, “The location Düsseldorf has generated many new, good customer contacts. Another advantage is the logistic proximity to our key customers and the quick transit connections,” he added. “We are sure to return to Düsseldorf in 2012,” Eckhoff summed up. 9,800 Visitors on Three Trade Fair Days!
During three trade fair days, Valve World Expo welcomed 9,800 qualified trade fair visitors in Düsseldorf. More than 60% of the trade fair visitors came from abroad. Primarily they came from the Netherlands, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Italy, France, Germany and India. Düsseldorf also drew visitors from the fast growing economic regions in Asia and South America. Thus, Valve World Expo has confirmed its Number One position as leading international trade fair for industrial fittings. A pleasant surprise was the number of first-time visitors. About 68% of the trade fair visitors reported to be visiting Valve World Expo for the first time. They also had never been to a previous event in Maastricht, therefore they truly were brand-new visitors. The next Valve World Expo will be held in Düsseldorf from 27 to 29 November 2012, again in conjunction with the professional conference.
