Parma’s three-day Automation event closed with results exceeding even the highest expectations.
SPS IPC Drives Italia attracted a record turnout, easily surpassing the target of 20,000 visitors.

“Over the past three days we’ve seen a tangible climate of positivity and motivation, reflecting forecast growth of 5-7% for the automation sector this year,” explains Donald Wich, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Italia. “The fourth edition of SPS Italia, with the focus on innovation, has been filled with satisfaction and enthusiasm which has spread to everyone involved, from exhibitors to the trade representatives at the exhibition.”

As Francesca Selva, Vice President Marketing & Events at Messe Frankfurt Italia, confirms, “This year’s results give us a new impetus for the 2015 edition and we’ll be starting work on it right away. Our aim is to expand the content even further and secure its position as the showcase for technology in Italy.”

Particularly popular were the Round Tables on the food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industries, which were attended by representatives from many different Italian companies – the end users of automation equipment. The format proved to be winning once again, since it encouraged meetings and debate among market operators, offering numerous opportunities for reflection and discussion in the coming months.
