Petro‐Canada Lubricants Inc., a Suncor Energy business, has released the latest product in the SENTRON line: SENTRON LD 8000. One of the major benefits of SENTRON LD 8000 is that it provides up to 8,000 hours between drains. In field testing conducted on a Caterpillar G3500 TALE series natural gas engine operating at a high load (>90%), SENTRON LD 8000 extended oil drain intervals by up to 300% longer than the conventional NGEO.
A long‐life oil, SENTRON LD 8000 is suitable for use in 4‐stroke engines that operate on natural gas, pre‐treated sewage/bio‐gas and selective pre‐treated process gases. A premium low‐ash SAE 40lubricant, SENTRON LD 8000 is built from 99.9% pure base oil-among the purest in the world.

In addition to breaking the drain barrier, field tests show that SENTRON LD 8000 takes oxidation control to unprecedented standards and offers better acid neutralization. SENTRON LD 8000 also provides optimal performance for both older engine types and new lean burning engines in high temperature, high pressure operations.
In recognition of the innovation behind SENTRON LD 8000, Petro‐Canada Lubricants has been awarded two Stevie® Awards. First, in the category of Best New Product or Service of the Year -Business‐to‐Business, a Silver Stevie Award; and second, in the category of Best New Product or Service of the Year - Industrial Products & Services, a Bronze Stevie Award.
