Knoll Maschinenbau presents all of its pump product lines: a variety of displacement pumps for conveying and dosing tasks in process industry and other displacement and centrifugal pumps for use in metal processing. Knoll Maschinenbau has been making pumps since the company was established nearly 50 years ago. First for its own use and soon also for external users, who came mostly from machine tool manufacturing. For approximately 15 years, with the MX progressing cavity pumps, displacement pumps for the process industry have also been part of the company's portfolio.
MX Pump design and technology
In the food, pharma, and cosmetics industries, and in the chemical, color, paint, and paper industries, the MX pump has achieved successes due first and foremost to its design featuring EvenWall technology. Here, the stator sheathing is adapted to the contour of the rotor, and – in the standard model – it has an elastomer coating with an even wall thickness. As compared to conventional progressing cavity pumps, this produces much greater pressure stability, less backflow, longer durability, better efficiency, less shearing of the product, and better suction behavior. Typically, the MX pump meets all hygiene standards; CIP and SIP cleaning are standard. The material selection, constructive arrangement of the O-rings and surface properties fulfill the guidelines according to EHEDG, QHD, GMP, and 3A.
