GEA TDS has been awarded a 25 million Euro order from Milco Industries Ltd (Tara) for the construction of a dairy plant in Israel. Tara is planning a new dairy plant in the Noam industrial estate in Netivot, Israel. GEA TDS will supply the complete process equipment and render all engineering services for this new dairy project. GEA TDS will also produce all 3D visualizations required and be in charge of construction supervision. Delivery and commissioning of automation equipment will be the responsibility of GEA TDS und Proleit. The objective of this new dairy plant is the relocation from the existing site in Tel Aviv. Relocation is planned in two stages: first of all, the new process equipment will be supplied, installed and commissioned. Once production of the first saleable production is running, then reusable equipment will be overhauled and integrated in the new dairy plant (mainly large components such as tanks, process units and fillers). The following product range is planned for the new dairy plant: ESL milk (also mixed milk beverages), yoghurt, desserts, and several varieties of soft cheese, cottage cheese as well as semi hard cheese. Construction start is scheduled for July 2011, the first products should be ready for delivery in late April 2012. After that the integration of existing equipment from Tel Aviv will start.
