France is the "Partner Country" for Hannover Messe 2011. This cooperative project will enhance the presence of French industry at the world's leading technology exhibition next year, announced Christophe Lecourtier, Managing Director of UBIFRANCE, France's office of foreign trade promotion, in Paris. The French government has commissioned UBIFRANCE to organize the French Partner Country project. Mr. Lecourtier was jointed by Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President for Hannover Messe at Deutsche Messe, in signing the Partner Country contract.
"We have signed up one of the world's leading industrial nations as our Partner Country for Hannover Messe 2011," declared Pech, who continued that the special arrangement would "intensify our longstanding relations and drive new international business deals for French exhibitors." In 2009 a total of 116 French exhibitors showcased their product innovations at Hannover Messe. In 2011 the organizers are expecting participation by more than 200 exhibitors from France.
"France will benefit from numerous opportunities as a result of the Partner Country relationship," stated Pech. The main focus of the French participation will be on energy, mobility and energy efficiency, as reflected in the official Partner Country motto of "Innovation for Sustained Growth". These themes will mesh seamlessly with the core topics at Hannover Messe: Industrial Automation, Energy Technologies, Subcontracting & Services and Power Transmission.
