A new AUMA fail safe unit for the company's electric part-turn actuators will be showcased at ACHEMA 2015. Designed to ensure closure or opening of a valve in the event of power failure, this major innovation offers constant torque across the entire travel and adjustable operating time.
GHT gearboxes which expand the available torque ranges of AUMA multi-turn actuators to 120,000 Nm will also be on display. Produced in four sizes and approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, the gearboxes are ideally suited for both open-close and modulating duties.
AUMA will also present significant advancements to its established GS part-turn gearbox series. Enhancements include new lubricants plus additional flange sizes and sizing criteria.
Further innovations include a new version of AUMA's MWG electronic control unit that enables auto-adjustment of mechanical position indication during commissioning as well as a portable leakage tester, designed to simplify actuator leak tightness evaluation on site. Another key theme for AUMA is the company's advanced corrosion protection capability.
TÜV-certified two-layer powder coating, combined with latest design enhancements, ensures that AUMA products meet the most demanding C5-I / C5-M corrosivity categories according to EN ISO 12944-6. Latest product innovations for valve control will be presented on a joint stand by all member companies of the AUMA group: AUMA, DREHMO, GFC, Haselhofer and SIPOS.
